You can submit as many singles, EPs, or albums as you like through our online submission form. Your first two submissions are reviewed free of charge. Each submission can be a single song, an EP, or an album, in any combination.
After your first two submissions, the review fee is US$2 for each song you submit. A 10-song release costs US$20, and a 13-song release costs US$26. Each recording is reviewed and certified individually. There is no separate EP or album rate and no monthly or annual fee to maintain certification.
This pricing applies to submissions received from October 31, 2026.
For each submission after your first two, we will send an invoice based on the number of songs in that single, EP, or album. You can then decide whether you would like to proceed.
You are under no obligation to pay the invoice. If you choose not to pay, we will not carry out the analysis for that submission. If no payment is received within 30 days, we remove the submission. We do not charge you simply for submitting music.
Payment must be received before analysis begins. Submissions are analyzed in the order they are received, with paid reviews proceeding once their invoices have been paid.
Payment is for the analysis and does not guarantee certification. Review fees are nonrefundable once the invoice has been paid, regardless of whether a recording qualifies. Any rights required by applicable law remain unaffected.
Each song is reviewed individually by a trained music analyst against the applicable CEP standard. You receive a decision for each recording. Qualifying recordings receive a certification identifier, a public registry listing, and access to the CEP mark assets and usage guidance.
If you represent a label, email certifications@musicalform.org and we can arrange a custom upload portal for your submissions.
We keep review fees low to make certification accessible to musicians. The fee pays part of the cost of analysis and operating the Institute. You can support this work through our Support page or by taking out a paid subscription to our Substack. Annual paid subscriptions are especially helpful.
Additional support helps fund analysis, maintain the public registry, and sustain the Institute’s research and educational work. Support is optional and does not affect certification decisions or the order of analysis.
